Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
momomochi is built around a simple belief: your anime history is yours. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control. We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.
What we collect
- Account information. If you sign in, we store the identity your provider gives us (Apple or Google), a user id and, if you allow it, your name and avatar. We never see your provider password.
- Your library. The anime you track, your episode progress, statuses, and ratings. This is the data that makes the app useful, and it's yours.
- Device-local data. Preferences like biometric unlock and notification settings are stored on your device.
How we use it
- To sync your library across your devices.
- To power recommendations ("For You") from your own taste.
- To schedule episode alerts you opt into.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for ad targeting, or selling to third parties.
Where it's stored
Your library is stored on your device (SwiftData) and, when you sign in, synced to our backend (Supabase) so it follows you across devices. Catalogue metadata (titles, artwork, synopses) comes from AniList and is used under their terms.
Third-party services
- Apple / Google: identity providers for sign-in.
- Supabase: authentication and cloud data storage.
- AniList: anime catalogue data.
Each service has its own privacy policy; we only send them what their feature requires.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all synced data from our backend. Your device-local data is cleared at the same time. You can also simply stop using the app. Your data stays private on your device.
Children
momomochi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update it here and note the date above.
